About Us
Founded in 1989, Esperanza Health Center is a community-based non-profit health center that provides affordable, quality, bilingual primary health services in Jesus’ name without regard for an individual’s ability to pay. In 2013, we served nearly 12,000 patients from three health center sites in the low-income, predominantly Latino and African-American communities of North Philadelphia. Our staff of over 180 employees includes 29 primary care providers who specialize in family medicine, internal medicine, internal medicine/pediatrics, OB/GYN and general dentistry. In addition to primary medical care, our holistic services address patients’ spiritual, psychological, and social health needs. We seek to be a community health resource, and are committed to partnering with other organizations and churches through initiatives such as our Community Health Promoter program. In addition, we serve as a place of training and education for students in the health professions.
